DSTRKT25 Music Festival

September 5 and 6 – Fan Park in the ICE District

An electronic music festival in Edmonton’s ICE District, headlined by artists like Kaytranada and Excision, featuring two stages (one inside, one open to the city) and immersive experiences. High energy in the heart of the city. Bring your moves and your dancing shoes!

Strathearn Art Walk & Music Festival

September 5 – 7 – Strathearn Neighbourhood

Find an original, one-of-a-kind art piece at this neighbourhood event and support an Alberta artist in the process. Enjoy music, craft beer, and views of the River Valley and city skyline, while you’re at it. This is a free, family-friendly event in Edmonton’s picturesque Strathearn neighbourhood.

AsiaFest Edmonton

September 12 – 14 – Currents of Windermere, southwest Edmonton

 

Experience Edmonton’s largest Asian night market at Currents of Windermere. Enjoy delicious street food and unique handcrafted goods from over 50 vendors, plus live music and cultural performances at this vibrant night market.

Down By The River Festival

September 13 and 14 – Louise McKinney Riverfront Park

Edmonton’s annual riverside music gathering offers live performances, dancing, and community vibes in an all-ages event that blends indie, folk, rock, and alternative sounds performed by musicians from Canada and beyond. Bring a blanket and your friends, and soak up the last of the season at this open-air festival on the banks of the North Saskatchewan.

The Mosquers Film Festival

September 18 – 21 – The Winspear Center

Dedicated to reshaping the Muslim narrative through film, art, and storytelling, this  grassroots short film competition has grown into a global festival celebrating the diversity of Muslim experiences. Take in host screenings, panels, performances, and galas that foster dialogue, challenge stereotypes, and showcase authentic Muslim creativity.

Fleurs de Villes

September 24 – October 15 – Muttart Conservatory

For 10 days, one of the Muttart pyramids will house a curated collection of 15 unique fresh floral mannequins created by the city’s talented floral artists. Each floral display is inspired by an Edmonton institution that focuses on the fields of dance, music, theatre, visual arts, and more.
