Sarah-Maude Cabana launched her skin care business, Loshen & Crem, in 2020, as a one-woman operation, standing strong in the belief that acting with integrity and compassion was always the best approach. Her method was simple: listen to the client, determine what was salvageable from their existing inventory, and offer replacements only when necessary. Cabana is loath to waste so using what a client already had and not throwing out the whole collection made sense to her, but was unconventional in a business where sales mattered. Slow and steady wins the race, as the saying goes, so for Cabana, investing in the client was more valuable than what went into the till. She became as known for her honesty and integrity as she did for her rare and refreshing approach to aging: the lines on your face are natural and part of life, she espoused. Appreciate them.
Cabana’s team now includes 11 more members—women from around the world, each bringing their own strengths and perspectives to the situations that present themselves. This diverse and knowledgeable committee helps Loshen & Crem maintain exceptional industry standards; innovation makes it rise above. Cabana is getting ready to unveil LPG Endermologie, a non-invasive technique that targets various tissue layers, stimulating the body’s own collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. Clients find that it also alleviates stress, anxiety and insomnia, and decreases the sweats that often come with hot flashes.
Committed to innovation, and practising with compassion and integrity has helped Cabana secure herself as a rising star in the Alberta skincare industry.
