James Chizen sees artistic opportunity in every project—from preparing a meal to curating a personal style, he embraces the creative process of self-expression in every aspect. His detail-oriented approach to crafting beautifully luxurious and truly one-of-a-kind homes is no exception.

Chizen found success in his career when he stopped basing his work on outside opinions and, instead, focused on uncovering his aesthetic. The rise in self-assurance led him to carve a niche style, which he calls “modern nostalgic.” Since shifting gears and embracing his artistic vision, he’s showcased his best work, a five-bedroom and four-bathroom masterpiece on Windermere Drive befittingly called “Enchanted.

Now, his signature look is as unique to him as a fingerprint. His only regret is not believing in himself sooner.

Chizen mainly connects with clients through social media, where he says people are drawn to the stories behind the people he works with and the exclusive behind-the-scenes access to his creation process. Still, he meets with all potential clients before shaking hands over a new project. Designing a home can be intimate, and he works well with people who match his energy and share his enthusiasm for regal design elements.

Chizen already has his heart and sights set on a new endeavour named “Wonderland” to be located in Riverstead. The building will model a look that he says hasn’t yet been introduced to Edmonton. The ground will break on this project in 2026.
