Glenfiddich and Aston Martin Formula One™ Team bring their luxury collaboration to Canada

For the second year in a row, luxury brands Glenfiddich and Aston Martin are collaborating around a shared emphasis on heritage, craftsmanship, and innovation. With the Formula 1® Pirelli Grand Prix du Canada in Montreal in May 2026, the collaboration found its way to Canada at one of its largest sporting events.

“The collaboration between the brands popped up really authentically,” says Canada’s Glenfiddich national brand ambassador Jamie Johnson. “These are two brands that work hard to maintain their craft.” She adds that the connection goes beyond luxury branding and extends into the philosophies behind both companies. “With whisky, there’s a strong connection between the science behind it and the constant drive to push boundaries, refine the process, and keep improving. I think Aston Martin shares that same mindset,” she says. “There’s science involved, but there’s also an art to it. The human element is essential, too.”

Johnson says that Glenfiddich malt master Brian Kinsman experimented with wine casks while developing the limited-edition whisky. “He’s using some red wine casks in there this time, which is something that we haven’t experimented with too much,” she says. “It’s been really great to see how much people are enjoying it.”

The release has attracted attention from both whisky collectors and Formula 1® fans, particularly because of the distinctive Aston Martin-inspired branding.

“The packaging alone is beautiful with that rich emerald Aston Martin colour,” Johnson says. “It’s such a neat addition to a back bar and a great conversation piece as well.”

According to Johnson, fans of both brands have embraced the partnership because it feels so natural, stemming from a passion for detail, craftsmanship, and performance. She has enjoyed observing the two communities coming together to share their passion for whisky, Formula 1® and Aston Martin.

Johnson hints that there will likely be more to come from the two brands. “We are looking forward to seeing how this partnership evolves, and how these two brands evolve side by side.”

The Glenfiddich 16 Year Old Aston Martin Limited Edition is available in Edmonton at BSW Liquor, Wine and Beyond, and other retailers while quantities last.
